The Usual Stuff

I sat down and ordered from the extensive menu
The gracious waitress repeated my order (as they are trained to do),
Then jauntily scampered off towards the kitchen.
I unfolded a newspaper and started scanning the day's news
Corruption, murder, robbery, libel, overpricing, hoarding ...
Hmmm -nothing new
Just the usual stuff ...

Then there it was ,
On page A22

Ouchhhhhhh
Yowwwwwwwwww
I shudder just at the thought of it ...

Yes folks ...
This scorned Pinay culminated her fits of fury with an act that can be said to be on the "cutting" edge
For her - the time had come "to cut - and cut cleanly"

And for the poor man ...
No dose of Viagra will ever be of any help
The deed is done
It will forever be very hard, to be very hard

Let the lesson be learned ...
"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned "

There was much to think about ...
How does this lesson apply in my own life?
Where did I keep the scissors?
Does she know?
Should I sleep on my right side?

My thoughts were interrupted by the voice of the waitress
"Sir - your order is here. Enjoy your meal ..."
I stared
My thoughts still stuck on the news article
Suddenly - I wasn't hungry

"Ahhhhh ...
Miss -pabalot na lang"

sounds like the Lorena and John Bobbitt story that happened in VA in the early 1990's. i was still living in MD, at that time, when this news came out. man alive! was it a news! after his wife severed his nether region - John Bobbit had an operation and guess what? he became a porno star. yes, he made porno movies! the docs, somehow, got "little johnny" back together. that's all i know. i am not going there and touching the part of "how, why, when, but..." with a 39-and-a-half-foot pole, either. HAHAHA!

i found a link from good ol' Wikipedia -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorena_Bobbitt

this guy still has a chance. if he can afford the operation. who knows? he might end up a "star," himself. yikes!

PS: how uncanny that you ordered a wurst. hahaha! - and it came sliced? that's bizarre. sorry. i've never seen a wurst served, sliced like that.

Hahaha... Daguldol. I like your sense of humor.

My friends warned me I took risks by marrying a Filipina, especially one from Bicol. ;-)
I guess I now need to be faithful for the rest of my life...

Hahahaha! Beware, Dagul! Make sure you keep all the scissors and knives under lock & key. I was read this piece in a tabloid I picked up in the pantry. The hubby didn't want to press charges...hmmmm, mukhang guilty! hahahaha

How ironic...sliced sausage! Yummy! :D

Rita,
Yes -I remember John Bobbitt and his "rise" to fame.

So you are a "Marylander" - a victim to the dizzying Capital Beltway loop. That's I-495 and I-95 if I remember right.

Hahaha - we have so many commonalities. I lived in Reston, Virginia for a while - victim to the same outer and inner loop traffic madness.
I miss the cherry blossoms, Lincoln Memorial, Potomac, Alexandria, Georgetown, etc...
But I am vey happy with my Pinoy life in Pinas despite ...
:-)

P.S.
Sausages in Pinas (wursts included) are often served in a sliced presentation. It is referred to as "pulutan" style

Sidney,
Yes Sidney - be loving and faithful.
Bicolanas are "hot and spicy" - and very "matapang" ...
So beware.

Just a friendly advise - sleep on your right side in a curled up position ... hahahahahahaha

fancy that? you used to live in the DC metro area. talk about small world and coincidences, here. we used to live in Annapolis, 5 minutes from the docks. funny, how we rarely went to the DC tourist areas, except when we have out-of-towners, visiting. oi...

we know Reston well. i used to go there a lot, too. hubby was born in DC, raised in MD. i used to work in Rosslyn - just across the bridge from G'town. i miss going there for lunch and some happy hour. now, living in germany - we sure don't miss the congestion, that's for sure! especially come, Memorial Weekend - when beach season starts! talk about nightmare going home on the I-50. ohmygoodness! on the hindsight, that gave me great excuses of going out to happy hour with friends and co-workers. hahaha!

on another note, when are you visiting Wiesbaden?

Daguldol Tarakatac III said...

Rita,
Yes - what a small world.
Metro DC was fun ...
Getting drunk in Georgetown, Sundays in Alexandria, July 4th fireworks at the Washington monument Mall, cherry blossoms just about this time of the year ... and the long drives to outlet malls - hahahahha

I would love to revisit Wiesbaden too .
I hope someday ...
I have nice memories of the place

Hahahaha! I'm laughing about your sense of humor and not about the fate of the unfortunate guy.

I wonder if she kept it preserved in a jar in their bedroom as a grim reminder?

Funny ba?
Hahahaha - I can almost feel his "pain"

A Hungarian sausage never looked so spooky

And thank you for your encouraging comment.
